I don't like losing either.

But ya know, this is a snowball festival arena, so yes I will say it; If you're taking this holiday event as serious as a competitve tournament for cash prizes, then you're missing the point.

Never in my life have I've been a part of a festival, a celebration of the season, that so far, has brought out the worst in so many players in the mini-game arena department.

We all want to win, but honestly, some are just taking it too far.

I'll go cast my mantra of flame now And in the end I'll still invite you over for some eggnog and Turkey and cranberry sauce. Yummy!

I'd love to have an organized version of snowball fights, the current version isn't even fun, terrible grind to get gamer points. And give both teams avalance, its stupid that one team gets a snare and the other doesn't.

"I say your 3 cent titanium tax goes too far""And I say your 3 cent titanium tax doesn't go too far enough" lol

Differing opinions, I would prefer everyone take it serious then everyone press tab and spam 1. I don't appriciate when someone goes and does nothing but spam snowballs, and so I express my displeasure with their actions. After all, if you don't complain nothing gets changed. If I can just get 1 person to suck less at snowball fights it would make me happy.

Ive got over 2000 gamer points and all i can say is the amount of aggro for this title is mind blowing and believe me i have a lot of patience, but its also fun is a masochistic sort of way

Everytime i start snowball arena it is fun but after say 5 losses- lets just say the temptation to rage quit is getting higher. Points more or less come as all or nothing. Get a decent team and win 15+ consecs or keep getting more and more frustraited till you find one.

When your going for gamer title you experiance a different kind of fun, the type youd get when playing an RTS as opposed to a RPG. If your teammates are just having a laugh and you loose its incredibly frustraiting and not fun anymore, on the other hand if they all tried their best and lost its dissapointing but GG.

All i can say is don't take it too seriously if you don't want to, but atleast put in the effort to play it properly e.g. capture presents dont stand around fighting, learn where the spawn points are, learn to use your class specific skill and then just maybe you won't piss people off .

Maybe guild wars should have an evaluation exam in order to play it.
Or maybe people who get stressed out by other players video game skills, should make a private server, or go play a game with private servers.

Only one team getting Avalanche is frustrating. Can't count the number of times I lost a 5-4 as Grenth and thinking that if the teams were swapped, it would have been 5-2.

^hehe nice

Anyway, If there are so many 'noobs' that would affect the opposite team just as much, and you (ofcourse) not being a 'noob', would be able to win since your team (on average) is slightly less noobish.

Or is it just your team that has 'noobs'. In that case, I would recommend a mirror.

Nice on 42 strikes.

Anyway, before I start a battle I always say:

remember to steal presents

Usually I always get at least 5 victories.

Some people need to pull their head out...seriously. xD

Sheesh, it's a holiday event. Forget about elitism for a change, stop ragging on the "noobs" that might want to just play it for fun, and forget about treating it like some all-important PvP tournament.

Lighten up and have fun. /fistshake

I am not new to PvP, but I am new to this particular event. I didn't know what to expect from it at all and how it would be played, but it sounded like something I wanted to try, so I did. Took me a while to get used to the abilities and remember where they were hotkeyed and what they did. That may have led to a few losses, but I was still figuring things out. Once I got the hang of it, I started returning presents and having fun with it.

I couldn't agree more that the spirit of the event was for some very lighthearted festive fun, and that taking things far too seriously makes you...well...a Grentch!

I couldn't agree with you more, I have been playing online games for years but have only recently started playing GW, and I'm hooked, while I can sometimes understand a seasoned vet's frustration with a "noob" if they repeatedly do something obviously stupid, they also need to remember that at one point in time they were also a "noob" and us "noobs" need to practice and improve our gameplay somewhere. If you forget what it's like, jump headfirst into a new game in a different genre than you are used to playing and see what it's like to be on the other end of the "dam noob" flames.

Gotta love the newbies that get a present to the wrong side and actually stand there being perplexed why he won't accept it...

partially sarcasm in the previous statement, on the one side i find it funny and on the other side to sad to be true not to mention he's turning it practical 5 vs 3...

i quitted snowball since i have better things to do with my time now, good idea lousy people lol

SNOWBALL FIGHTS ARE SERIOUS BUSINESS.

Seriously, it's Christmas and it's a fun diversion in an online vidoe game - lighten up.

Wow dont even start with this its not their fault its your fault. Yeah I'm pretty sure i have mastered the extremely difficult and compelx art of snowballing. I can only carry my team for so long its kind of hard to go out and get 5 presents by yourself why your retarded teams insist on spamming snowballs at one guy or just looking at your opponent running off with a present. Honestly snowball arena is the most frusterating area in gwars ever it is the absololute noob hole of all gwars and i would die for any organized snowballing. I have reached +30 wins several times this year with teams that know how to work and know its "GET 5 PRESENTS FIRST TO WIN". Its just for every good team like even one that can get +3 you have like 10 idiotic teams.

Wow...just wow. Difficult and complex ART of snowballing? Please say you were joking. If not, please, please seek help of the psychiatric variety. Preferably help that will involve lots and lots of tranquilizing stabilizing medication.

snowballing - It doesn't sound that difficult, but practice makes perfect I guess.
